Christmas 2009

So, Santa has come once again. Erich and I put our heads on our pillows and of course, ten minutes later, the boys got up. At ten minutes after midnight, I had to explain to them that they were very lucky that they had not run into Santa because he may not have left them anything and that he was probably still trying to get out of the chimney. They hurried back to bed and awoke at a much more respectable time of 6:50 AM.

Our day was quiet, but nice. As you'll see in the pictures below, Erich got a waffle maker for Christmas (he has been asking for one for a long time) and made YUMMY waffles for breakfast. The boys got more toys than they know what to do with and I can honestly say that this year, they didn't complain once that they were bored on Christmas day. Grandma got a very special gift from her nephew, my cousin, Daniel. It's EXACTLY what she wanted and means so much because it's what she loves and would have meant so much to my father. You'll see it below and knowing us, you'll all understand. Erich too got a very special gift, but not of the sentimental kind. It's not something he would have ever purchased for himself, but I'm sure he's always dreamed of having one. I'm the best wife! A counter top beer tap is just what every man should have.

We were sad not to be able to spend this Christmas with our family far away. We keep you all in our hearts everyday and miss you very much. The same goes for all of our friends. We hope all of you had a very special Christmas!

Alex gets his purple belt!

Yesterday, Alex tested for his purple belt in Karate. It's truly amazing to watch him. He's really great and finally found something that he absolutely loves. I know all moms say that their children are great at what they do, but Alex honestly is a natural. He has a long future in martial arts and I definitely see a black belt in the midst.

Santa 2009

We took the boys to see Santa a few weeks ago, but I haven't gotten around to posting the pictures until now. Vincent is still unsure as to what he wants for Christmas, but Alex had a list. He thinks we mailed that list to Santa, but I kept it and I'm so glad I did! Number one on the list said, new square, white dishes for my mom. She has been asking for them for years! Number two said, a Star Trek game for my dad. My son is the sweetest, most unselfish little boy in the entire world! I am so blessed!!
